Comhaltas Seisiún at The Hunt Museum
Great Nights of Irish Traditional Music, Song and Dance with Murroe-Cappamore CCÉ Seisiún Group

Faoi chlár Sheisiún Náisiúnta an Chomhaltais 2017, beidh siamsaíocht thraidisiúnta fhíor-Ghaelach ár gcultúir féin ar siúl i mbreis is 50 ionad ar fud na hÉireann an Samhradh seo.

The Hunt Museum is one of 50 Comhaltas Seisiún venues throughout Ireland. Comhaltas’ 2017 National Seisiún Programme provides a unique and authentic Irish traditional entertainment experience. The unique setting of The Hunt Museum renders this Limerick City Seisiún experience of the best of Irish traditional, music, song, dance and story, with an Ghaeilge our native language, particularly memorable.

Murroe-Cappamore Comhaltas is one of the most established Seisiún groups in existence.  Throughout the decades it has staged a variety of shows in various venues in Limerick and its performers have also performed elsewhere in Ireland and abroad.

Fear A Tí Tomás O’ Maoldomhnaigh provides the historical commentary to our Irish cultural traditions and repertoire of local and national significance enabling the audience to gain further insights into our Irish culture.

One of the longest running Summer shows of its kind – over 45 years in existence – Comhaltas Seisiún attracts increasing numbers of visitors from overseas and nearer home with a show that captivates its audience and welcomes their participation. The second part of the evening’s entertainment unfolds and guests are invited to join in the Seisiún experience, taking to the floor as they wish, with a step, tune, song, or story.

In the year of 2017, Comhaltas Seisiún shows will commemorate Ireland’s musical legacy, celebrating all of those master musicians that helped shape the musical landscape of today’s Ireland. We have received from them a massive heirloom of precious tunes and songs that, with the years, have helped outline, build and expand one of the key elements that define the Irish folklore: our traditional music.
