Expert guest speakers on the day are
Lecture Title: Painting Modernity: Jack B. Yeats, Paul Henry and Modern Ireland’
- Dr Roisin Kennedy – Former curator at the National Gallery of Ireland and lecturer in the school of Art History and Cultural Policy at UCD.
Lecture title: “A Romance in Perpetuity”
- Peter Murray – Has curated many exhibitions over the past three decades, and is currently working on an exhibition celebrating the work of George Victor Du Noyer for Crawford Art Gallery.
Lecture title: ‘As He Saw It: the Ireland of Paul Henry, R.H.A.’
- Dr Brian Kennedy was Keeper of Art at the Ulster Museum,He has published a biography of Paul Henryand arranged an exhibition looking at Henry’s whole career, for the National Gallery, Dublin, 2003
Lecture title: ‘Jack B. Yeats: Art and the ‘living ginger of Life’
- Yuki Takahashi is an adjunct tutor of Aoyama Gakuin University, Meiji University, and Komazawa University in Tokyo. Her Ph.D dissertation titled W.B. Yeats in the Irish Arts and Crafts Movement to Aoyama Gakuin University, and received a doctorate in literature in March 2017.
