For the 7th annual Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival the Hunt Museum will be holding free and exciting events.

- Monday 3rd,
10am – ‘Thinking, talking and planning ahead for end of life: A Café Conversation.’
Café Conversations bring people together to talk about death, dying, loss, care and grief in calm and safe surroundings. We’ll share with you tools like ‘Think Ahead’ to help you plan for end of life. We’ll reflect on what matters by you, share experiences, watch films and access useful resources.
2.30pm – ‘Northside meets Southside – connecting our city’s histories’
Help us to trial new loan box resources created by project participants from Limerick’s southside and northside.
- Tuesday 4th,
12pm – ‘Bee Loud Glade’
Meet the Beekeeper and learn about his work and the vital role bees play in nature.
2pm – ‘Compassionate, Creative Limerick’
Compassionate Cities publicly encourage, facilitate, support and celebrate care for one another during life’s most testing moments and experiences, especially in times of illness, caring, death, loss. This workshop will explore how we can work to become a Compassionate City through the medium of art.
- Wednesday 5th, 2pm and Friday 7th, 12pm
– ‘800 years of Fashion Workshops’
Let us take you on a journey of time travel and discovery during which you will see flash before your eyes the changing and ever evolving fashions of centuries past.
- Thursday 6th,
12pm – ‘Memories inspired by Art’
Come along and see what personal memories the wonderful artworks in our collection inspire in you.
1.30pm, 2pm, 3.30pm – ‘How to #hashtag’
This is an interactive session facilitated by the Information Technology Division at the University of Limerick. After a short introduction to hashtags, visitors will take photos with their mobile phones of their Hunt Museum visit and post these photos to their social media of choice using #huntmuseum. A prize of an android tablet is up for grabs for the best photos posted online by a visitor.
1.30pm – ‘Limerick Soundscapes’
Introductory practical workshop on sound recording, the objectives and outcomes of the Soundscape project.
