‘What do we Do at Bedford Row? ’
Speaker: Larry de Cléir, Project Leader at the Bedford Row project

This talk will reveal how this organisation supports families affected by imprisonment, and how their on-going partnership since 1999 with the Irish Prison Service enables them to facilitate linkage between imprisoned parent and his/her child. Drawing on research conducted by the Irish Prison Service in 2015, Larry will highlight the powerful benefits these interactions bring to the lives of their clients but also to society in general. The success of the Family Links exhibition project has further strengthened the collaborative relationship between the Bedford Row Project and the Irish Prison Service, and in particular Limerick Prison.

Bio: Larry de Cléir is a Psychotherapist, Trainer/facilitator and Project Leader of Bedford Row Family Project, Limerick. He has over 30 years-experience working in a variety of settings ranging from street-work, programmes with teenagers at risk, counselling within prison, working in a children’s charity.
