The Hunt Museum Liberal Arts course is a twice-yearly series of lectures which look a wide range of topics such as the decorative arts, archaeology, heritage and culture. The course is renowned for the high quality of it’s lectures, and we strive to invite a mix of well-known speakers as well as up-and-coming scholars, from a range of different disciplines.
This winter’s course will look at the decorative arts both in Ireland and Europe from 1700 up to the present day. Among the topics that will be addressed will be Irish furniture, antique rugs, 18th century interiors and their conservation, Irish glass and ceramics, as well as a look at contemporary decorative arts. The speakers will include art historians, conservators, museum workers and antique dealers.
