One-Day Colloquium
Jack B. Yeats: new understanding for the 21st century
This colloquium, which accompanies our summer exhibition, Jack
B. Yeats: Master of Ceremonies, will focus on the new understandings
of the work of Jack B. Yeats in the context of Europe and Ireland
in 2004. Through a series of penetrating discourses in art history,
critical values and the practice of art, the colloquium will re-evaluate
the Yeats' work from a contemporary perspective. This colloquium
will appeal to a cross section of people including students, academics;
those interested in the Irish art and cultural studies and the general
public and complements the summer exhibition at the Hunt Museum,
Jack B. Yeats: Master of Ceremonies.
