ANNOUNCEMENT

The John Hunt Memorial Bursary, was inaugurated by the Friends of the Hunt Museum in order to encourage research into the decorative arts, through publication or presentation and also to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the subject.

The purpose of the award is to enable the recipient to develop a particular aspect of his or her work. The recipient will be expected to demonstrate that a practical result, i.e. a publication or presentation, will be achieved through the award of the bursary. The finished work will be available in The Hunt Museum Library for research purposes.

Congratulations to Anna Kadzik Bartoszewska who is the winner of the John Hunt Memorial Bursary 2008. Anna is studying for a PhD in UCD. Her subject is Egyptian textiles.
