Hunt Museum Administration & Event Coordinator

Are you keen on accuracy?  Do you look for high quality results? Are your good at dealing with people?   And would you thrive on variety but still be able to prioritise? Then, we need you.   We are looking for a self-motivated individual to support us in a wide range of administration tasks at the museum.   

The job has three key areas of responsibility: to manage all event bookings and their set up; to assist in the administration needed for education and temporary exhibitions;  general administration for the museum, including managing suppliers and contractors for IT, building and gardening services. The post also has some general administration such as our mailing lists, petty cash and invoicing.

The Hunt Museum is a not-for-profit organisation with the aspiration of being a centre of learning and civic life.  Our mission statement describes how we will achieve this by preserving and use of our world class collections; catalysing new collaborations and innovation and increasing public engagement in the collections, the museum, its exhibitions and events;

You will enjoy talking to people, have a solid understanding of IT systems and platforms such as Google Drive and have an eye for detail combined with natural organisational skills.    You will be highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative, ensuring that all duties are completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. The ability to work outside office hours on occasion together with a broad knowledge of the museum would be a plus.

Pay grade & salary: The salary will be awarded according to experience within a scale ranging from €20,000 p.a. to €26,000 p.a. Holiday is 21 days pro-rated, and excludes public holidays.

Business Developer / Fundraiser

Track record in fundraising?  Outward going and persuasive?   Persistent but subtle?   We are looking for someone to help us raise money to support change, education and our gorgeous Georgian building.

The job has two key areas of responsibility:  revitalising the endowment fund for use against future major building works; and sponsorship and corporate event development, where you will obtain sponsorship for our major exhibitions and develop our corporate events package.   We therefore need you to develop relationships with Charitable Foundations and look further afield for grant funding.   You will be supported by a Fundraising Committee when working on the major exhibitions and will work with the museum director all other aspects of fundraising and business development.
