Press Release: Hunt Museum to hold Golf Pro Am

In support of a new Hunt Museum Public Garden, where the railings are down and the garden has places to play and to sit, to enjoy the building and the view across the Shannon, the Friends of the Hunt Museum are looking to enter a team for the JP McManus Pro Am 2020.

Coinciding with RiverFest where we will have a Crazy Golf Pitch in the Hunt Museum Garden, the press launch for the Hunt Museum Pre Qualifier, was at 12:30 on May 3rd, attended by former golf playing rugby internationals: Philip Danaher, David Wallace & Damien Varley. Together with pupils from the Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh a friendly competition is expected – launched by Chair of the Hunt Museum Golfing Committee – Juan Fitzgerald and our Mayor, James Collins.

The Hunt Museum Pre-Qualifier is a Singles Stableford Competition and will take place on September 12 and 13th at the Limerick Golf Club.  A group of four players will be €400, individuals €100. This includes lunch and refreshments and a Pro Am Entrance Cap.

The Museum in a Garden will feature life size versions of some of the amazing objects held in the museum for children to use and interact with as well as new seating areas and places to chill out.

Pictures of the launch sent separately.
