Father Browne’s First World War

Thursday 9th July 2015 - Sunday 20th September 2015

Perhaps better known for his photographs of the maiden voyage of Titanic in 1912, Father Browne ministered to the troops at the Somme, Messines Ridge, Paschendaele, Ypres, Amiens, and Arras.  The selected photographs that are displayed at The Hunt Museum vividly depict the truth and hardship of the First World War trenches and army life. Father Browne’s War Exhibition has been developed in partnership with Cavan County Museum, to where the display will travel in the autumn.
