Imogen Stuart: Sculptor, with Liam Irwin
Tuesday, February 19th, 1-2pm in the Hunt Museum’s Captains Room
An illustrated talk on the life and career of the German-born artist who came to live in Ireland after her marriage to the Irish sculptor Ian Stuart and in a career spanning nearly 70 years has produced a highly-regarded and diverse range of art work in wood, metals and glass. While well-known in particular for her religious sculptures she has also made notable contributions to public and private art. Interestingly, both her earliest and her most recent works are in Limerick.
