Richard Thomas Moynan RHA, “Ball in the Cap”, 1893

Richard Thomas Moynan is known primarily as one of the Irish Impressionist painters, but research demonstrates that a wide range of other influences informed his work. In this lecture, Dr O’Regan will explore her research journey and discuss how issues such as education, family concerns, Freemasonary, Unionism, and political issues, shaped Moynan’s art.
