Verona was born in Lübeck, Germany and lives in Newport, Co. Tipperary. She studied Fine Art/Sculpture at the Limerick School of Art & Design and graduated with a National Diploma in Art. Her work has been shown in solo, duo and group exhibitions in Ireland, Germany and the UK. She is a recipient of a number of awards given by the Arts Office of North Tipperary, including for a solo show, the Tipperary Artists Award and a Tyrone Guthrie Residency Bursary. Her work is in the public collection of Tipperary Arts Council and in private collections in Ireland, Germany, France, UK, Australia and New Zealand.
In her latest work Verona explores the concept of oceans and shore as both human and natural environments and the manner in which they impact on one another. From coastal zones where nature and human spheres converge she collects natural and marine debris from which she creates sculptures and installations.
