Axehead
Description
A green dolerite axehead with ovate symmetrical faces, a gently rounded asymmetrical edge, a rounded butt and rounded sides. The edge is sharp but with some heavy flake damage on the left. The blade is polished and the faces are pecked. The axe has an oval cross-section. Found at Lough Gur, Co. Limerick.
