Christ in Magesty - manuscript fragment
Description
This page or fragment would have originally been part of a Sacramentarium [or a sacramentary, which was a book used for church services or mass by a bishop or priest]. It is written in Latin, with German inscriptions. One side shows a picture of ‘Christ enthroned’, the other has a version of (Pope) Gregory the Great’s Dialogi IV, c. 59, a collection of four books that documents the miracles, signs and healing by holy men that lived in Italy during the 6th century.
