Axehead

Description

A socketed bronze axehead with one loop. It has an oval mouth thickening outwards and a narrow ridge running vertically above the top of the loop. A number of vertical ridges run from this ridge on one face. The cutting edge is splayed. The axehead was found near Cork, Ireland.
