Axehead
Description
A shale axehead, with asymmetrical faces, a curved asymmetrical edge, rounded sides and a curved pointed butt. The blade edge is badly damaged on the left but sharp in the centre and on the right. The axehead is ground and there is low level polish on the blade area. The butt is damaged by chipping and flaking. The axehead has an oval cross-section.
