Double-sided Appended Wax Seal Impression
Description
An intact wax seal, that would have been appended or wrapped around a roll of documents. It would have been created by pressing warm wax in a seal matrix including paper that was wrapped around documents. This seal is double-sided, showing the martyrdom of Thomas Becket on one side and the Virgin and Child Jesus on the other.
