Charlemont dinner service, serving dish

Description

A large oval serving dish or platter from the Charlemont dinner service. This dish was probably covered. There is a large piece missing from the dish. It displays the Caulfeild arms and the Collar of the Order of St Patrick. It forms part of the dinner service owned by James Caulfeild, 1st Earl of Charlemont, who was given it by William Burroughs. This dish was presented to the Museum by the Estate of John Bailey of Belfast in 2000.
