Axehead
Description
An axehead with asymmetrical faces, a curved symmetrical edge, a rounded pointed butt and sides which are pointed towards the blade. The edge is damaged towards the centre by a large post manufacture flake scar which extends onto one of the faces. The axe is ground but unpolished. It has an narrow pointed oval cross-section. Found at Baggotstown, Knockainy, Co. Limerick.
