Archival information

File of material relating to a hone stone mould. Includes photocopy of object description sheet which includes sketch of object (date unspecified). Notes that on one side of the object there is carved a cross of eighth-century form, probably English; Hunt Museum object comment sheet (4 December 1994) containing comments made by Peter Harbison, archaeologist, about object. Questions if object might date from the sixth-eleventh centuries and be Byzantine or come from the eastern Mediterranean region.
