Stoneware jug with silver mounts

Description

A jug with silver mounts on the foot, collar, lid and handle top. The body of jug is faceted and the bottom of the handle is scrolled. The mounts are decorated with a serpentine motif and the lid with floral decoration. The lid has a tall, central, spheroid knob handle. The thumb plate is marked with the letters ME. The body is cracked.
