Axehead
Description
An axehead with the faces having straight splayed sides, the edge is curved and asymmetrical, with a flat butt and broad rounded sides. The axe is ground with the blade, sides and face polished. There is pecking on both faces and on the butt. The axe is oval in cross-section. This axehead was found in Ballinard, Co. Limerick.
