Axehead

Description

A bronze socket axehead with one loop. It has an oval mouth which is slightly damaged eternally. There is a narrow ridge running horizontally around the axe and two vertical ridges running down the side at the opposite side to the loop. The cutting edge is splayed but flattened at the edges. The axehead was found in Kilgully, Co. Cork.
