Axehead

Description

A flanged bronze axehead with a stop-ridge. The flanges are hammered inwards with a splayed cutting edge, which is slightly bevelled, and a slightly rounded butt. There is a crescent-shaped depression on the blade below the flanges. Found in Carrodore, Co. Down.
