Drinking-glass

Description

A drinking-glass, the stem is probably early but the bowl and foot are probably later. The glass has a round funnel bowl, a moulded Silesian stem and domed foot. This was originally thought to be the earliest dated Irish glass known. The bowl is inscribed Lord Archbishop of Dublin 1715. A section of the bowl has been broken off. Possibly Irish.
