Drinking-jug
Description
A stoneware jug known as tigerware due to the mottled effect on the surface. The jug rests on a foot, has a round body, tall neck and strap handle. There are decorated silver mounts added to the rim, handle and a hinged silver lid with a knob handle. An interlaced curved floral motif is engraved on the mounts. The lid is marked with a fleur-de-lis. German, Rhineland, with English mounts.
