Axehead
Description
A green jadeite axehead with a gently curved asymmetrical edge, a rounded butt and irregular rounded sides. The edge is very sharp with a few minor chips. The blade area and lower portion of the axe is well-ground, regular and polished with the upper portion being finely pecked only. It has an oval cross-section. The axe was fitted into an antler haft (HCA 172 A).
