Axehead
Description
A Neolithic porcellanite axehead, with asymmetrical faces, a gently curve asymmetrical edge, a flat oblique butt and rounded sides. The blade area and faces are very well ground and regular with a moderate to high level of polish. The axe has an oval cross-section. This axehead was found at Lough Gur, Co. Limerick.
