Corpus (crucifix figure)

Description

A corpus or crucifix figure in bronze, perhaps from a descent from the cross. The right arm is missing and the knees are bent. The loin-cloth is long, falling almost to the ankles, there is a V-shaped fold falling from the waist. The head is inclined to the front. German, Lower Saxony, or English.
