Crucifix
Description
A tortoise-shell cross with silver mounts and an ivory corpus. The ends of the arms of the cross are decorated with silver sprays of flowers and with a sun-burst radiating from the centre. The figure of Christ has closed eyes and the head leans to the left. The loin-cloth is short, knotted to the side and reveals most of the right leg.
