A drinking-horn with metal gilt mounts. The horn rests on claw feet. The rim of the horn is incised with lettering.

Mentions Craggaunowen Castle, county Clare, and it is probable that object was displayed there; photocopy of paper by Peter Stone entitled 'Some Famous Drinking-Horns in Britain,' part 1, published in 'Apollo' (volume xxiv, number 434, April 1961).
