Delamain Pottery Plate

Description

An Irish delftware plate with a scalloped edge. The rim is decorated with swags and in the centre is a landscape scene of a tower and a house, all painted in manganese. This is one of a pair with HCL 033.
These plates were made in Dublin in the Worlds End Pottery of Delamain and Co., c. 1755-1770.
