Carving, Isis nursing Horus

Description

A bone figure of a woman nursing a child. She is seated on a high backed chair and is dressed in a finely pleated gown and a mantle. The hairstyle is elaborate with braids running back from the forehead and arranged in ringlets on either side of the face. The child is touching her right hand with his left. These figures probably represent the Goddess Isis and her son Horus. Attributed to Egypt possibly?Alexandria.
