Description

An Irish delftware circular plate with floral scene in centre and decorative bands around the edge. The centre shows a Chinese vase with flowers. Perhaps one of a pair with HCL 047.

Includes photocopy of object description sheet which includes sketch of object (date unspecified); photocopy of photograph of object (date unspecified); Hunt Museum collection survey form (date unspecified); photocopy of extract from notes made by Peter Francis (17 April 1996) which describe various objects in the Hunt Museum. Treats of present object and HCL 047 as an identical pair. Suggests that they are Dublin-made plates, and lists typical features. Also, that there are similarities to objects made in Liverpool and Bristol.
