Provenance

File of material relating to a figure of a snipe. Includes photocopy of image of object which also records basic information about it, namely, title, medium, origin and period (date unspecified). This document originally attributed object to China but annotation in hand of Michael Holland, Registrar, Hunt Museum, states that information received from Peter Francis in June 1997 suggests that attribution should be Berlin; Hunt Museum object comment sheet (28 November 1997) containing comments made about object by Henry Sandon, ceramics expert, BBC Antiques Roadshow. Attributes the figure to Berlin, circa 1820-40.
