A limestone axehead with a gently curved symmetrical edge and a rounded butt and sides. The blade area and lower portion of the axe is very well ground and regular and the upper faces appear naturally smooth, suggesting that the axe was made from a natural rounded cobble. There is one large deep remnant scar on the left-hand side. Found at Lough Gur, Co. Limerick.
