A Rhenish stoneware drinking-jug with silver mounts. The jug rests on a foot and has a round body, tall neck and simple strap handle. There is a mottled effect on the stoneware which led to this type of pottery being known as tiger ware. The vessel is fitted with a silver lid and silver mounts around the foot. The mounts are decorated with floral motifs. The initials R W are engraved on the knop. The makers mark consists of a fleur-de-lis. The mount is English.
