Provenance

File of material relating to a blue and white porcelain dish. Includes photocopy of information card with photocopy of image of object (date unspecified); photocopy of extract from a Sothebys catalogue of sale (c. 3 November 1981) which contains description of, 'An attractive blue and white plate, painted K'ang Hsi marks.' Possible that this is present object as annotation reads, £70 bought in.' Photocopy of extract from Sothebys catalogue of sale (c. 3 November 1981) contains descriptions of two other objects and annotations suggest that they may have been sold by the Hunts. One is described as, 'A pair of Canton 'famille-rose' hexagonal jardinieres with scenes of figures, early 19th century.' Also that object is 15 centimetres high. Above this description annotation reads, £220 sold.' The second object is described as, 'A blue and white jardiniere, painted with household implements, 19th century.' Diameter given as 22 centimetres. Above description is annotation which reads, £35 sold.
