Axehead
Description
A bronze socketed axehead with one loop. It has an oval mouth which shows outward thickening. A raised ridge runs around the neck just above the loop. The faces have ridges at the sides giving the effect of panels and the blade has a splayed cutting edge. This axehead was found in Ireland.
