Axehead
Description
A shale axehead, with asymmetrical faces, curved asymmetrical edge, rounded butt and flattened sides. The edge is flat with a few minor chips on either side. The axe is ground with the blade area and faces being particularly well ground. The blade, sides and faces are polished with a low level of polish. The cross-section is oval with flattened sides.
