Arrow-head

Description

A flint barbed and tanged arrow-head with very serrated edges. The upper surface is raised in the middle while the base is somewhat flatter.

Provenance

File of material relating to a flint arrowhead. Includes photocopy of object description sheet containing comments and sketch of object (date unspecified). Annotation on this document states that on 3 December 1994, Michael Ryan said in relation to this object that it is 'barbed and tanged'; photocopy of notes which contain similar descriptive remarks about object including sketch (4 August 1998). These notes are by Geraldine Critchley, archaeologist.
