Bronze Y-shaped object

Description

A bronze Y-shaped object probably part of a horse harness. It has a finely cast stem and a pair of prongs with separate hollow terminals cast on to ends. The stem terminal is elongated, waisted and had a rounded end.

Annotation questions if this object dates from the Middle Ages; photocopy of extract from publication entitled 'Treasures of Ireland: Ireland Art 3000 B.C.-1500 A.D.' (Dublin: Royal Ireland Academy, c. 1983) edited by Michael Ryan which contains description of an Attymon hoard and reference made to y-shaped pieces within it.
