Pendant (cameo portrait)
Description
A pendant with a cameo portrait, possibly of Charles I of England. It is gold with the portrait in mother-of-pearl on basse taille enamel. The portrait is surrounded by rubies. The back is finely enamelled in shades of blue green and white with a design in a peapod or shell pattern. There is a suspension loop at the top. English or Flemish.
