Description

This ceramic fragment of a human head, possibly from a figurine, was likely part of an effigy used for ceremonial purposes. Similar fragments have been attributed to the Teothuacán style of Central México during the Classical Period. This fragment may have previously had common features (such as a lavish headdress) typical of other figures of the period.
