Corpus (crucifix figure)
Description
A German crucifix figure in ivory. The head is turned to the right with the eyes closed and the feet are nailed together. The loin-cloth is short and narrow, with horizontal drapes and a section swirling out behind the body. This crucifix is believed to date from the late 16th/ early 17th century.
