The clothes are described as "Check-mate -- low-placed, oversize patch pockets on a three-quarter coat in Irish handwoven tweed is twinned with a black and white checked dress of Welsh fabric, casual costume designed by Sybil Connolly for Fall and Winter 1961. Sybil Connolly ---#12". Handwritten annotations in pencil on the back of the photograph "#12 on your program", "checkmate" and "Patch-pockets". The model is possibly Maura Boylan.
