Design sketch, Purple Cocktail Dress
Description
Sketch on board, with title "Purple Cocktail Dress" written in pencil on the front of the board. A knee-length collarless dress. The fabric appears to be pleated linen. The neck is bound and the same detail is on the seam which divides at the centre neck and goes down to either side of the waist. The set-in sleeves are full-length. Hollingworth Board (C. Roberson & Co. Ltd., London).
