Axehead
Description
A dolerite axehead with ovate symmetrical faces, a curved symmetrical edge, a rounded butt and broad and rounded sides. The edge is chipped and worn. The blade and faces are well ground and have low-level polish. It has a oval cross-section. Found at Herberstown, Co. Limerick.
