Annual Luncheon 2023

On the 8th of June 2023, we welcomed the Friends of the Hunt Museum and their guests to the Annual Luncheon at the Dunraven Arms Hotel in Adare. We were honoured to have Virginia Teehan, Chief Executive of Heritage Ireland and former Director of the Hunt Museum, as our guest speaker.

The Education and Outreach curator of the Hunt Museum, Maria Cagney, pulled raffle tickets for an array of wonderful prizes including lunch for two at the Dunraven Arms, a gift voucher for Hugh Campbell’s Cats Hair Studio and a beautiful set of silver spoons.

Our M.C Sarah Gough and Chair Anne Hyland welcomed everyone to enjoy their three-course lunch. The whole event helped to fundraise for the refurbishment of displays in the Hunt Museum, in particular, the Sybil Connolly collection.

How your membership helps & supports

Your membership has directly supported such projects as The Three Muses, a joint educational programme for primary schools with Limerick Museum and Limerick City Gallery (see images below). It has also assisted a close fundraising relationship with Limerick Mental Health Association (LMHA), particularly in relation to the ongoing project to create a Hunt Museum in a Garden with their support.

Your membership allows us to continue to operate the museum, to produce online resources for schools and lifelong learners and prepare for a summer of activities.
